Her feast day varies between May or June, at the time of Pentecost. Also known as the "Blanca Paloma" or the "Queen of the Marshes", it is a Marian invocation that is venerated in its sanctuary in the village of El Rocío, in Almonte, province of Huelva, Andalusia, Spain. In ancient times, there are records that recognize that the Virgin of El Rocío was paraded at the end of a dry season.

Its feast is October 12, is the patron saint of Spain and Zaragoza, city where according to tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared to the Apostle Santiago when he was resting on the banks of the river Ebro. To commemorate the apparition was erected a temple known as the first basilica dedicated to the Virgin. The first mass was celebrated on October 12, which is why in the eighteenth century, Pope Innocent XIII proposed to remember this day in the calendar to the Virgin of the Pillar.
